Edinburgh Tuneless Choir
Edinburgh Tuneless Choir launched in January 2017.
Sessions are held every second Thursday with coming sessions on 5th and 19th April, and a new term starting on 3rd May. Doors open at 7.15pm and singing starts at 7.30pm through to 9pm with a break for tea, biscuits and chat.
The choir is based at Broughton St Mary’s Church, Bellevue Crescent, Edinburgh, EH3 6NE. Our singing is led by Elaine Ho, and the choir is organised by a small committee of choir members.
Come along and join the Edinburgh Tuneless Choir where the motto is “sing like no one is listening”. As tuneless singers, we just want to sing, and so the emphasis is on singing for the sheer joy of it.
If you’ve been told you can’t sing in tune, or know you lack the ability, practice or confidence to do so, this is the choir for you and there are no auditions! We sing ‘classics’ which most people already know and are predominantly choir member suggestions.
Newcomers pay £10 for their first session, including registration with the choir. The regular price is £7 if you “pay as you go”, or you can pay in advance for a term for the equivalent of £5 per session.
Newcomers are welcome to come along to any session – it’s a good idea to sign up for our emails below so we can keep you in touch with any changes.
